About our Retreat Leader:

Catherine Bond

Catherine Bond ran the retreat day programme at Otley Hall for many years & is an experienced retreat day leader and spiritual director. She teaches Christian meditation & has recently completed the Ignatian exercises in ordinary life and the Ignatian Spiritual Conversation course. She was ordained as a minister in the Anglican church in 2010 and has been part of the St John the Baptist congregation for six years. She enjoys sea swimming, rowing, Pilates, and watching her pets play.

About our Retreat Leader:

Jane Pearse

has led a number of retreat days & a pilgrimage to Israel & offers spiritual direction. Celtic spirituality & the natural world inspire her appreciation the ebb & flow of the seasons & of life. She is a keen walker & bird watcher but recognises the value of stepping aside to rest awhile in God’s loving presence. She enjoys poetry, sea swimming & watching the world go by.

She was ordained as a minister in the Anglican church in 2010 and attends St John the Baptist in Felixstowe. She has recently been appointed as vice-Chair of the Trustees of the Othona Communities at West Dorset and Bradwell-on-Sea.

Penny Brinkley

has run retreats for St John the Baptist Church, Felixstowe, where she served her curacy and is now Associate Priest. She is the Diocesan Chaplain to the Deaf Community and a fluent sign language user, alongside her role as Spiritual Director to St Ed’s & Ips Cursillo, which she took up in July this year after three years as Assistant. She enjoys all forms of art from knitting and sewing to Bible/Prayer journalling having discovered mixed media art over lockdown. She loves to read, all genres, and writes poetry.
