An invitation to join a relaxed pilgrimage to the Holy Land in the spring of 2025

Catherine and Jane are leading an eight day pilgrimage to Israel & Palestine from 3rd March to 10th March for the Parish of Felixstowe & Lark Rise Retreats.

The pilgrimage will begin in the Galilean hills where much of Jesus’ ministry took place & we hope to stay in a kibbutz on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. We will visit the Mount of Beatitudes, experience the peace of the lake & go to Nazareth. Then we will stay in Bethlehem to experience life “behind the wall” & see the ancient Church of the Nativity and the Shepherds’ Fields. Our last few nights will be spent inside the walls of Old Jerusalem where the three Abrahamic faiths live side by side as they have for generations. We will walk the Via Dolorosa to The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, visit the Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane & the beautiful Garden Tomb as well as the old souk & Western Wall.

Jane and Catherine led a similar pilgrimage in 2015. Actually to be in the places that Jesus was, is an inspiring experience which, like seeing a colour film when you are used to black & white, changes your understanding of the Bible and your faith forever. We will be travelling with Lightline, an experienced travel operator that seeks to support Christians in the Holy Land.

The cost is likely to be around £2,200 but will only be finalised once flight costs are clear. Do come, it is the experience of a lifetime.
