John explains what he will be doing on the Come and Sing day: ‘I will be introducing people to two kinds of song – some from the Iona Community which refer to the Celtic Tradition of Spirituality as well as songs which deal with issue of justice, peace and inclusion such as are not regularly found in church hymnals.
I’ll also be sharing music from around the world which I have collected over the years, which is immediately singable and which allows for our notion of a global community to be incarnated in song.
No need for an accompanist as I tend to choose what do to according to the moment (nor any need to tune the grand. I am not Elton John).
